• Tireless community volunteers honoured in Manly’s 2012 AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS

  Ms. Ellie Hunt, the President of the Manly Women’s Shelter; and twenty-two-year-old Ms. Lisa Stueckradt, a tireless community volunteer and Secretary of the Manly Youth Council, have been officially named Manly Council’s 2012 ‘Citizen of the Year’ and ‘Young Citizen of the Year’ at Australia Day Celebrations. Ms. Julie Isbill, founder of the ‘Bold and Beautiful’ voluntary ocean swim squad, was named as the inaugural ‘Manly Sportsperson of the Year’.

• Public exhibition of the report entitled ‘Identification of COASTAL HAZARD RISK AREAS to PROJECTED SEA LEVEL RISE for the Manly Local Government Area'

  Manly Council, at its Planning & Strategy Committee meeting on 6 December 2011, has resolved to publicly exhibit the final draft report entitled ‘Identification of Coastal Hazard Risk Areas to Projected Sea Level Rise for the Manly Local Government Area’.

• JENNIFER MARSHALL: BEACH COMBER. Works on paper and paintings, 1981-2011

  Jennifer Marshall, one of Australia’s most eminent artists and printmakers, will feature in a survey exhibition of woodcuts, linocuts, etchings, drawings, watercolours, gouaches and paintings exploring seascapes, shipwrecks and lighthouses at the Manly Art Gallery & Museum.
