Manly Council's Lifeguards operate a year-round service. Hours of operation are as follows:

A flagged area is provided at South Steyne year round and at Queenscliff daily from October-April. North Steyne has a patrolled flagged area on weekends, public holidays and during the Christmas school holidays.
Manly Council Lifeguards are available to speak to groups (school or adult) at the beach, on beach safety and surf awareness. Please call the Lifeguard office on 9976 1497.
