Making the Manly Local Government area a safer place in which to live, work and visit is a priority activity of Council. Community Safety requires a holistic approach and a cooperative effort on the part of Police, community member and local government.
Council is well placed to address issues of community safety and has done so through its Crime Prevention Plan. Council is close to the community and influence many of the issues that influences how people live. Council actions and decisions in planning, urban design and community service provision all have an impact on community safety.
