In 1994/5 Manly Councillors, Community representatives and Management agreed on a simple and concise Shared Vision Statement;
A thriving community where residents and visitors enjoy a clean, safe and unique natural environment enhanced by heritage and lifestyle.

Our Business
Manly Council states that Our Business is to provide and facilitate Quality services and infrastructure responsive to community needs, through consultative and innovative management.
We are consultative because the best way to develop Manly to its full potential is to work with each and every resident who has an interest in the municipality.
We are an innovative council. As an example, we realised that traditional decision making processes in councils happened in a fragemented way, and sought to improve it. Our management structure, formulated in 1996, encourages a coordinated and intergrated approach to decision making.
