Library Blogs

Manly Library has created a number of Weblogs with the aim of keeping you up to date on issues relating to local history, genealogy, young adult events and suggested readings.

One of the best features of a Weblog is the option for you to communicate your thoughts and suggestions to the Library by commenting on any of the article entries.

If you would like to contribute to any of the Library Weblogs please email Manly Library.

Local Studies Blog

Visit the Manly Library Local Studies Weblog to read about recent discoveries and initiatives in local history work.

You can join in discussion threads regarding any topic of Manly history which interests you: for example, family history, or house or street history.

Or you might be able to contribute information to answer enquiries we need help with, or reminisce about bygone events.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Novel Ideas Blog

The  Novel ideas Weblog  features fiction book reviews and recommendations from staff, upcoming events and other book news.

The blog will also have information about other places on the net where people can get ideas about what to read next.

We are also inviting library customers to submit their own comments on books they have read, to be posted on the Novel Ideas blog.

It doesn't have to be an indepth review (though you are welcome to write an epic literary review if inclined) just a few words would be ok. You can submit your review via email to Manly Library.
