Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels

Manly Meals on Wheels is funded by the NSW Home and Community Care Program (HACC) and administered by Manly Council.

The aim of the Service is to enable people to continue to live comfortably in their own home and reduce premature admissions to hostels and Nursing Homes.

The Service delivers to people who live in the Manly Local Government Area and North Balgowlah.
You will be eligible for the Service if you are frail / aged, have a disability or care for someone who is frail / aged or has a disability. You can receive from 1 to 7 meals per week.

Cook Chilled, frozen and hot meals are delivered Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays. Each meal costs $5.50 and includes a main meal, dessert, soup, fruit juice and fruit.

The Food Services Co-ordinator will assist you regarding any specialist dietary requirements. We can cater for people with diabetes, gluten intolerances, chewing or swallowing difficulties.

The Service does not deliver on weekends or Public Holidays. You can order frozen meals to cover for those days. Frozen meals need to be ordered in advance. The Food Services Co-ordinator can provide a list of the meals that are available.

To begin to receive the Service, call 8966 9938. Anyone can make a referral – an older person, a member of their family or any other member of the Community.
