Accreditation scheme

Businesses who participate in the Sea Change for Sustainable Tourism program are eligible for endorsement under the program’s 5-star accreditation scheme. The accreditation scheme provides acknowledgement for engagement and achievement by promoting a positive business image to consumers and the local community.

Completion of each stage in the program entitles participants to one star in the accreditation scheme. Every star signifies an achievement and demonstrates a commitment to social and environmental responsibility on the part of a participating business. It’s a 5-stage program so full accreditation is equivalent to 5-stars.

As a part of the accreditation scheme, participants are issued with prominent accreditation stickers and certificates displaying their level of achievement.
