Manly Welcomes People with Disabilities
Manly’s streets, parks and beaches are easily accessible for people with impaired or reduced mobility, such as the elderly using walking aids, wheelchair, scooter and pram users, and people with visual impairment.
The Manly Town Centre is well equipped with Accessible Parking and Accessible Toilets, kerb ramps at intersections and taxi ranks, sound systems at traffic lights, and Accessible Public and Community facilities.
Manly offers easy scenic walks along the harbour foreshore and the ocean beach. Most beaches and reserves are provided with accessible picnic facilities and public amenities. Some easy to find popular attractions and sites are listed in the Accessible Manly Guide.
The majority of visitors arrive in Manly by car, ferry, bus or taxi. If you are visiting Manly and are a wheelchair user or have limited mobility, the Manly CBD Access Map is a useful guide to the accessibility features of the Manly town centre.
A list of toilets accessible to wheelchair users in the Manly local government area can be found at this link:
Council also has a beach wheelchair available (pictured below), located at the Manly Surf Pavilion. Contact Manly Lifeguards on (02) 9976 1497.
