Swim Centre

The Manly Andrew "Boy" Charlton Swim Centre is owned, operated and serviced by Manly Council. 

Manly Swim Centre is located on the corner of Kenneth Road & Balgowlah Road, Manly. The popular facility is open all year round, it welcomes young families, children, teenagers and lap swimmers of all ages.

Manly Swim Centre's entrance is located on Kenneth Road and is accessible by public transport including the Hop, Skip & Jump Bus or private vehicle. Parking areas are conveniently located on Kenneth Road.

From 7pm Friday 24th June 2016, the MABC Aquatic Centre will be closed for its regular winter maintenance period. The centre is scheduled to reopen to the public in August.

 Thursday 11th of February the school carnival booking times have been extended from 10am to 3pm
 The 50m pool will be unavailable for swimming during this time.

 History & Other Info

Andrew Murray Charlton known popularly as Boy Charlton, was an Australian freestyle swimmer of the 1920s and 1930s. He was raised in Manly and educated at Manly Public School and later at Sydney Grammar School. He won a gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. He set five world records and also won a further three silver and one bronze medal in his Olympic career.
