WEEK DAY TRACK CLOSURE 8 APRIL TO 7 JUNE 2013
SCHEDULED WORKS
Manly Council will be undertaking stage 2 works to upgrade the section of walking track between Ellery Punt Reserve and Sandy Bay, Clontarf. The works will include;
- Replacement of sandstone stairs
- Widening the track to approximately 1.2m
- Resurfacing the path with crushed sandstone and installation of drainage swales
- Resurfacing metal walkway track section (not viewing platform) with timber
CLOSURE OF WALKING TRACK ON WEEKDAYS (*OPEN FOR WEEKENDS).
Due to public safety concerns, the walking track will be closed on week days for duration of works. The track will be open to the public on weekends *unless at unsafe stage of works to allow public access. If closed follow detour routes to bus stops.

SPIT BRIDGE: Nearest public transport located on southern side of Spit Bridge
CLONTARF RESERVE: Nearest public transport 10 minute walk from Clontarf Reserve to Beatrice Street bus stop (Follow yellow Manly Scenic Walkway Detour signs) Alternatively, Manly Council operates a FREE shuttle bus service which departs Clontarf Reserve to Manly (via Condamine St interchange) every hour between 8:40am to 5:40pm daily.
DATE OF COMMENCEMENT
Works are expected to commence on April 8, 2013 and take approximately 8 weeks to complete (subject to suitable weather).
