NSW Seniors Festival is designed to thank, celebrate and recognise seniors for the role they play and the contributions they make to the NSW community.
2017 Seniors Festival, 3 – 24 March
The 2017 Seniors Festival program features 150 events throughout the Northern Beaches.
There are events that will both stimulate and entertain, including lecture series, line dancing, games sessions, kayaking, downsizing your home presentations, walking, social outings, technology sessions and using social media.

Travelling Home & Away
Get practical information on travel destinations, how to travel safely and how to use technology at our Home and Away seminars. This two week workshop series will be held on consecutive Fridays and you can choose between two locations. Please bring a notepad and pen. Lunch provided, please advise of special dietary requirements.

Positive Ageing Through Art ‘Express Yourself’ Exhibition Tour
This tour is for people who have memory loss or dementia. The tour provides an opportunity to view and contemplate artworks from this lively exhibition by Higher School Certificate visual arts students from across the Northern Beaches. Additional sessions planned in April and May. Morning tea provided.
Care and Services for Seniors - and What the Changes Mean for You
This practical information session helps you understand recent changes in the Aged Care system. Practical tips and advice on accessing the My Aged Care Gateway will prove to be invaluable. A session not to be missed. Morning tea provided.
NSW Seniors Festival
The official NSW Seniors Festival is on from Friday 3 March to Sunday 12 March. Check out (http://www.nswseniorsweek.com.au/) for a huge range of events taking place across the state.
‘Inclusive Communities’ is the theme for the Festival and there are a number of events which address different needs throughout the aged community. Council feels privileged to be working alongside many committed organisations working to create an inclusive community.
