Theft from motor vehicles

  • Lock your car when you leave it
  • Do not leave any valuables in your car
  • Do not leave your car key in an obvious place on the car when you go to the beach (e.g. on top of the wheel)

Theft at the beach 

  • Do not leave your personal belongings unattended·      
  • Be aware of your valuables on the beach at all times, particularly your wallets, mobile phones and cameras
  • Offenders often watch people go for a swim and grab their gear from under their towel

Travelling con men

Stop travelling conmen is a campaign to protect the Australian community from misleading and deceptive conduct by people pretending to be legitimate tradespeople. It is a joint initiative by all Australian state and territory consumer protection agencies.
