Parking in Manly
Council provides a number of parking options for your convenience in the Manly CBD and for resident parking in residential streets.
Manly residential ratepayers (owner occupiers) and residents (tenants) are eligible for a Manly Resident Card. Cards are only valid in Manly National, Pacific Waves, Peninsula and Whistler Street parking stations. Cards provide up to 3 continuous hours per day in one parking station per day from 7am to midnight.
Manly ratepayers and residents are entitled to apply for Designated Parking Permits. See the Designated Parking Permit webpage for more information, including application forms. These permits are also available for purchase by non Manly residents.
The parking permit schemes were introduced around the Manly CBD to give priority to residents for on street parking near their homes. Residents living in eligible properties in the permit parking areas in Manly are entitled to apply for area parking permits.
See Permit Parking Schemes page for general information, questions and answers about the schemes and application forms.
Council has four public parking stations in the Manly CBD open to the public 7 days a week. There are also a number of public car parks around the municipality which provide free parking, including disabled parking. Manly Resident Cards can be used in parking stations.
Please see the Public Parking Station page for more information on locations, available car spaces and hours of operation.
Councils do not set or amend parking fine penalty amounts. Parking fines and the penalty amount are set by NSW State Government legislation administered by the RTA. For more information go to the Office of State Revenue website.
