Have a say on local proposals and projects.
The review of existing documents or preparation of new documents relating to development generally involve a public exhibition period. This period provides an opportunity for all members of the community to make comments on any draft documents on exhibition.
This is your opportunity to have a say in Council's planning documents, and how they affect development in Manly.
‘Identification of Coastal Hazard Risk Areas to Projected Sea Level Rise for the Manly Local Government Area – Final Draft’
Manly Council, at its Ordinary meeting on 12 December 2011, has resolved to publicly exhibit the final draft report entitled ‘Identification of Coastal Hazard Risk Areas to Projected Sea Level Rise for the Manly Local Government Area’.
Council would like to invite the community to provide comment on the Report and Risk Area maps.
The Report has been prepared by the Water Research Laboratory of the University of NSW for Manly Council. The report identifies coastal erosion and inundation risk areas within Manly LGA following the methodology prescribed in the ‘NSW Coastal Planning Guideline: Adapting to Sea Level Rise) and using the benchmark identified in the ‘NSW Sea Level Rise Policy Statement’. Risk Maps, on exhibition, will form part of the Manly LEP.
The Report and maps will be exhibited from 9 January until 5:00 pm on 17 February 2012 at the following locations:
- Manly Council Chambers, 1 Belgrave Street, Manly. Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm
- Manly Environment Centre, 41 Belgrave Street, Manly. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
- Manly Library, Level 1, Market Lane, Manly, (During the Library's operating hours)

Submissions are invited and should be addressed to the General Manager Manly Council PO Box 82, Manly 1655 or delivered at submission boxes or faxed to (02) 9976 1400 or emailed to records@manly.nsw.gov.au by 5.00pm on 17 February 2012.
