Native Plants and Animals
Within the reserves owned and managed by Council, there are about 55 hectares of bushland reserves.
Within the Municipal Area is also some 269 hectares of National Park and 70 hectares of Crown Land. This area is home to many native species of both flora and fauna.
While the natural environment is degraded to some extent due to human activities, Manly Council is committed to protecting and regenerating the areas still intact, in order to support the development of :-
- Animal species
- Ecological Communities
- Plant species
- Threatened species
