Heritage Walks

These range from the famous Manly Scenic Walkway, to informal strolls and scenic views along the ocean front promenade passing Fairy Bower, around to Shelly Beach. The Visitor Information Centre or National Parks and Wildlife Service can provide you with maps of walking tours and further information. 

Cabbage Tree Bay Coastal Walk (Shelly Beach): Gain
an insight into Cabbage Tree Bay's unique marine life, plants, animals, history and attractions by viewing some unique eco-sculptures. 

Manly Eastern Hill Heritage Walk: This walk will guide you through the Eastern Hill area of Manly, with the option of visiting the beaches on its fringes. This is a dynamic landscape, both built and natural, rich in a history of planting and building, creating and covering open spaces. 

Manly Heritages Plaques Walk: Learn about Manly's diverse history by following the numbered plaques surrounding Manly. Following these plaques will unveil some of Manly's unique stories. 

Manly Scenic Walkway: 10kms of stunning bush walking, encompassing panoramic views of the majestic entrance to Sydney Harbour and swathes of bushland, walkers are able to contrast the old and new Australia as they pass by modern harbourside suburbs juxtaposed with Aboriginal sites, native coastal heath and pockets of sub-tropical rainforest 

The Heart of Manly Heritage Walk: This walk is a part of Manly's heritage strategy. Along the way you will discover our Heritage Plaques which identify and inform you of places of special interest.
