International Women's Day Breakfast 2017

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 - 7:00am to 9:00am

Hosted by Northern Beaches Council, join us for a delicious charity breakfast at Manly Golf Club to celebrate International Women's Day!

This year, the theme is Be Bold for Change. Come along and be inspired by our special guest speaker, Josephine Cashman, a Worimi woman from New South Wales.

A lawyer, businesswoman and social entrepreneur, Josephine has more than 18 years of experience working on projects to create social and economic empowerment with Indigenous communities.

Josephine recently spoke at a special session on violence against Indigenous women and children at the United Nation's full Human Rights Council in Geneva. She is widely acknowledged at all levels of the community for her work to help bring an end to violence.

A donation to Big River Impact Foundation (pdf format Big River Indigenous Impact Foundation (223.41 KB)) is included in the ticket price, as well as proceeds from a raffle held on the day with many exciting prizes to be offered.

The Foundation aims to provide innovative economic development and business support, education and resources to Indigenous Australians, to foster economic independence and financial security.
