Every Friday until 30th March 2012 from 5pm until 9pm.

Manly Council’s popular World Food Markets returns this summer to the grassed forecourt outside Manly Council Chambers (opposite Manly Wharf) from 5pm.

Bring your picnic rug - limited tables and chairs are provided. 

Sit back and relax with friends and family, enjoy excellent food and great music in a beautiful location just across from historic Manly Wharf.

Each week the World Food Markets will present live music for your enjoyment while you taste cuisine from around the world including:

  • ‘Dim Sum King’ – Chinese Dim Sums
  • ‘The Spanish Cook’ – Seafood Paella
  • ‘Turkish Pastry’ – Gozleme
  • ‘Poffertjes Please’ – Mini Dutch Pancakes
  • ‘Yupin’s Thai’ – Authentic Thai
  • ‘Jacky Cuisine’ – Mexican Quesadillas
  • ‘The Churrasco Grill’ – Brazilian BBQ
  • ‘German Fine Foods’ – German Sausages
  • ‘Lifestyle Catering’ – Mediterranean Seafood
  •  ‘Pizzeria on the Road’ – Wood Fire Oven Pizza
  • ‘Tornado Chips – Potato on a stick

Music line up for your enjoyment:

  • The Vicky Turner Band (24 February  - six piece rhythm & blues/rock/funk & soul group);
  • Benton & Storm (2 March - favourites from the ‘60s era including hits from the ‘70s through to ‘00s);
  • The Ghali Groove Band featuring the Hot Potato Roving Band ( 9 March - jazz influenced ensemble combines reggae,  blues, Latin, jazz and funk with a percussive vibe);
  • Rockfish 5 piece classical rock & blues band, playing classics & the very latest songs with passion and gusto;
  • Zoe Elliot plus Daddy Long Legs and the Swamp Donkeys (23 March - Indie and Southern Delta Blues sounds);
  • Mimesis (30 March - 3 piece band comprising violin, cello, guitar and voice);
  • Grand Finale - Mimesis (30 March - 3 piece band comprising violin, cello, guitar and voice). PLUS free Face painting for our younger patrons.

The World Food Markets is located in the Alcohol Free Zone and is an alcohol and smoke free event.
